The mission of United Athletics is to pair local athletes and individuals who require physical assistance to participate in a variety of events – swimming, biking, running, and triathlon races. Participation in sporting events promotes both social inclusion and fellowship in a healthy athletic environment.

Sportable is a 501 C 3 non-profit in Richmond, VA whose mission is to create opportunities and transform the lives of individuals with physical and visual disabilities through sport. ... we currently offer 14 year round sport programs and partner with over 25 organizations in the community to provide the necessary sports specific knowledge, accessibility facilities, and to offer more competitive opportunities for our athletes. Our promise to the community is to free our athletes to see beyond their disabilities, to assist them in building peer relationships and reducing social isolation, and finally facilitating physical and attitudinal change in our community.
